Daily Report for Friday June 15th 2018

Weather for Today: Sunny and Hot…

Today was the day we have all been looking forward to….our field trip to Toronto Centre Island. We left school at 9:00 and got on the Scarborough 86 E bus and went to Kennedy Station. We then got on the Line 2 subway westbound. We got off at St. George station and transferred to the Line 1 southbound subway to Union Station. We took the dedicated 509 Harbourfront  Streetcar to the Ferry Docks. After lining up for a while we bought tickets to the Ferry and went on the ferry to Centre Island.

When we got to the island we walked to the south end of the island and ate lunch on the beach.Here are some pictures from our island tour...

  

 Unfortunately, we were not able to stay long as we had to make it back for the 12:45 ferry back to the city. On our walk to the ferry dock, we came across a swan in one of the lagoons. Here is a video of the swan, ( this is for you Fahim...

 We did get a chance to quickly check out Centreville, the island amusement park and still make it back to the ferry in time. While we were waiting for the ferry we came upon some orange chairs that we had some fun with. Here is a video of us playing with the chairs...

We took the TTC back to school and got back with just enough time to fill in the daily report and have a short sit to start off our weekend in a mindful manner.
