Period A: Co-op was canceled today so that everybody in the class could enjoy the Earth Day festivities. We began with our Mindfulness Minutes. We were called down to the cafeteria for an Earth Day Assembly. We learned a lot about environmentalism and especially how dangerous plastic water bottles were for the environment.
Period B: We were able to participate in three different Earth Day activities. We started out by going outside in the courtyard where we were able to work with Ms. Myers Taylor who showed us how to plant some Spider Plants in Mason Jars. Here is a picture of what we made…
We then went to the next activity where we were able to make Earth Day medallions out of wood and beads. Here is a picture of us working on our medallions.
To finish off our activities we were able to paint some of the rocks that we had been prepping in Ms. Queens class. Here are some pictures of us working on this activity….

Period C: We met Ms. Queen in S-7. We went outside to take part in a Community Clean-up.
Period D: We went on a Community Walk. We filled in the Daily Report. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.
