Period A:Ahmed, Emily and Nerissa left school this
morning to go to the Special Olympics Bocce Ball Tournament that is being held
in St. Catharines, Ontario over the next three days. The rest of the class
began with our Mindfulness Minutes. We then did our weekly Weekend Journal
activity. We wrote in our journals some of the things we had done over the
weekend. When we had finished writing in our journals we presented our work to
the class.
Period B: We met Ms. Queen in S-7. Today we began work on
a new project. We are making some Tie Dye T Shirts featuring the Canadian Flag.
Today we traced a maple leaf on the shirts and stitched and tied them. We had
some extra time at the end of the period so we practiced our song for the Year
End Assembly.
After lunch today we went to Dance Club where we
practiced our act for the assembly.
Period C: We began by doing a Money Math Activity. We
used a program we had written together as a class to practice our money
recognition and addition skills. We then went for a Community Walk. We did the
Go Train route.
Period
D: We filled in the Daily Report. We had a Mindfulness Meditation Body Scan
exercise.
