Period A: In sewing class today we began work on a new
sewing project. We will be making Acorn ( shaped) Pot Holders. Today we cut out
the material for the pot holders.
After sewing class we went for the first of our weekly
trips to the Y.M.C.A. at Scarborough Town Centre. We got on the 86A SCARBOROUGH
TTC bus at around 10:20 and got to the Y at around 11:15. We got changed into
our gym clothes and then went upstairs to the indoor track where we walked for
around a kilometre. We then went downstairs where we worked out on the
treadmill machines. We got changed back
into our street clothes and went over to the Food Court at Scarborough Town
Centre to eat our lunches. When we had finished our lunch we walked over to the
Freshco grocery store to buy some groceries for our upcoming Thanksgiving Feast
on Thursday October 8th.
When we got back to school we only had time to put away
our groceries and have a short Mindfulness Meditation sitting. It was a good
trip to the Y but next time we go Mr. Wilkens says we will leave earlier !
