Today we went on our first field
trip of the year to the Markham Fair. Almost the whole school came on the trip.
We got there on three school busses. It was quite cool at the fair so we did
not get a chance to show off our newly made tie-dye T shirts. We did however
have a great time at the fair. The first building we visited was the Exhibition
Building where our class had submitted two different pieces of our work. Here
are some pictures of our Ceramic Gecko’s and the Tie Dye paintings that were on
display at the fair…

After we had seen our work we
looked at the many different entries on display. We then got to see the other
types of things that had been entered for the different contests. We saw giant pumpkins,
prizewinning vegetables, some amazing photographs and a plethora of delicious
looking baked goods and of course Sliver Elvis…

We then went to the outside lunch
area to eat our lunch. It was kind of chilly but not that bad. After lunch we
visited the farm animals where we saw some pigs, cattle, chickens a llama and
sheep. Here is a picture of a sheep…

We left the fair at 1:15 and got
back to school around 2:15 at which point we only had time for a short
Mindfulness Meditation sitting. All in all, it was a great day !
Note to Parents : We will going to the YMCA on Monday.
Please ensure students have gym clothes and a bagged lunch that does not
require re-heating or money to buy lunch at the Food Court.
