In Class Today
Period 1: It was a short day, so we did not have a lot of time. We looked up Shoppers Drug Mart on the Whiteboard, and learned a little about where Julian, Megan and Curtis will be going tomorrow. We then began to watch Wall E, a Disney film.
Period 2: We continued to watch the movie.
Period 3: We cut up apples for Apple Pie. Then we put in apples on the stove to pre-cook them.
Period 4: We filled in our Daily Report then we had just enough time for a short sit.
Tomorrow we will: Work on our Ceramic Candle holders and do our Drama activity. Curtis, Megan and Julian will be starting their co-op @ Shoppers !!!!
Today's Date: Tuesday Sept.24th../13
The Weather Today was :

In Class Today
Period 1: We went to the Art Room where we could not work on our Ceramic Candle holders because they were still too hot from the kiln. Instead we started on Ceramic Pumpkins !
Period 2: We had a little time to do our Drama activities, Julian won a game of Musical Chairs, but today's champion was Arqum, who won two games. Then we went to the gym where we played a somewhat disorganized game of Dodge Ball. When we got back to class @ 11:00 we sat in meditation, we are trying out a variation of our schedule.
Period 3: Spencer, Taylor and Curtis sold Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cherry Pound Cake and Raisin Tea Biscuits. Markeisha, Jessica and Arqum worked in the Bakeshop on various tasks.
Period 4: We did our classroom jobs, with Curtis and Taylor taking on the extra task of loading the dishwasher with dishes from the Mindfulness Lunch. Then we filled in the Daily Report.
Tomorrow we will: Have our pictures taken,go shopping at No Frills and who knows what in Baking…….
Today's Date: Wednesday Sept.25th./13
The Weather Today was :

In Class Today
Period 1: We walked to no Frills to buy groceries for tomorrows lunch program lunch. We purchased spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, Romaine lettuce, Ground Beef for meatballs, French Bread and Mozzarella cheese for Garlic Bread.
Period 2: We began our Current events activity but we were interrupted when we were called down to the Cafeteria for Picture Day. We ended up waiting in line for almost an hour ! In the end though, we all had our picture taken. (Except for Mr. Wilkens, who did not want his picture taken with his
shaggy beard ! )
Period 3: Jessica, Julian ,Megan and Markeisha sold Raisin Bread. The rest of the class cut up dates for date squares.
Then we had a Fire Drill ! It went well and the principal came on the P.A. and congratulate the school for a job well done.
Period 4: We filled in our Daily Report, did our classroom jobs and then had a meditation sitting.
Tomorrow we will: Make a Spaghetti lunch along with Caesar Salad and Garlic Bread. We also will make Apple Pie for dessert. Ms. Appleton’s class will be joining us for lunch. In the afternoon we will be doing our Terry Fox Run/Walk.
Today's Date: Thursday Sept.26th./13
The Weather Today was :
Sunny and Warm, High 20, Low 12 P.O.P. : 10%
In Class Today
Period 1: It turned out today was a short schedule day so we really were pressed for time to make our Lunch Program meal. We also were having Ms. Appleton’s class as lunch guests so it was very hectic. Still, we all worked very hard and managed to make Spaghetti and Meatballs, Caesar Salad , Garlic Bread and Three Apple Pies !!!!
Period 2: Same as above, we kept on working on our meal…
Period 3: Because of our time constraints , we had to miss Bakeshop, but we did bake Apple Pie !
Period 4: After eating our lunch with our guest’s, we cleaned up and still had time for a meditation sitting. Then @ 1:05 we did the Terry Fox Walk…. It was great fun !!!
Tomorrow we will: Go to the computer lab, then we’ll read a story in the Library and sign out some books.
If we have time we will try to get in a Music Activity.
Todays Date: Friday Sept.27th ./13
The Weather Today was :
Sunny and Warm, High 21, Low 11 P.O.P.: 0%
In Class Today
Period 1: We went to the Computer lab in room 205 where we looked at the Weather forecast then worked on Jigzone puzzles. Then we came back to class and finished our Current Events activity.
Period 2: We went to the Library where Ms. Benyarko read us a book entitled Jack Tripper and the Lost Toe. Then we signed out some library books to read in class. When we got back to class we started to take up our Current Events Worksheets. We learned about an organization called Water Aid which works to provide clean water in Third World Countries.
Period 3: We worked in the Bakeshop packaging French Bread loaves. Then Curtis, Spenser, Markeisha and Taylor took the trolley around the school to sell the bread. Back in the shop, Megan, Jessica and Julian cleaned up.
Period 4: We did our classroom jobs, sorted out Mr. Wilkens pot collection ten filled in the Daily Report. Then we had a sitting.
On Monday we will: Be going to the Y.M.C.A. where we will walk around the Track then go swimming. Everybody must remember to bring gym clothes and swim wear.
