Today was a rather special day in that most of the class went to the Cross Country Track meet for Tier 1 and Tier 2 students at Morningside Park. Two students, Myron and Shakur failed to bring in their permission forms, which was lucky for Mr. Wilkens as it turned out, and so had to remain behind.
The 7 students that went to the meet acquitted themselves very well ! The boys came in 3rd. as a team. Nerissa was the winner in the Tier 2 girls division. It was a warm day and we had a great time.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I mean school, Shakur and Myron were kept very busy helping Mr. Wilkens out with preparations for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving Feast ! They cut up the bread for the dressing ( stuffing ) and helped with clean up.

When the class returned from the meet we had just enough time to do our classroom jobs and have a short Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Note to Parents: Thanksgiving Feast Lunch tomorrow ! Send no lunch.

The first building we visited was the Exhibition Building where our class had submitted two different pieces of our work. Here are some pictures of our Ceramic Gecko’s and the Tie Dye paintings that were on display at the fair…
