In Class Today

Period 1: We started out the day with our usual Computer Lab activity. We went to the Weather Network site to find out about what the weather will be like this weekend, then we went to Jigzone.com to practice our puzzle making skills. Arqum started to do research on a project he will be working on, an investigation of Sufi Meditation….

When we got back to class we began to clean up the classroom from yesterday’s party and take down the Halloween decorations.

Period 2: First we went to the school Library where Mr. Wilkens read a book to us. The book was called Wavin’ Flag and it was about the song of the same name by K’naan. We learned about Somalia and how K’naan came to write this famous song. After library we came back to class and finished cleaning up.

Period 3: In Baking Jessica, Spencer ,Curtis and Taylor  went around the school selling baked goods. Arqum, Julian and Megan  helped to package goods and then measure out ingredients for Honey Oaties.

Period 4: We got assigned new classroom  jobs for the month of November. Then we did our jobs and filled in the Daily Report. Then we had just enough time for a short sitting.

On Monday we will:  Hopefully go to the YMCA. If the Board has not paid our membership yet (!) we will do some shopping for the lunch we are going to bring on Thursdays trip to The Royal Winter Fair.

Note to Parents : Please ensure students have gym wear for Monday.
