Daily Report for Thursday December 10th 2015

Weather for Today: Overcast and Cool…

HIGH : 12°C                 LOW : 6°C                    P.O.P. : 10%

Period A: We washed our hands and faces. We practiced our sales presentation. We then went to different classes to sell our cards.

After Period 1 we went on our field trip to the Christmas Market at the Distillery District. To get there we took the 198 Express bus to Kennedy station then the subway to Broadview station and from there the King streetcar to Trinity Street where it was a five minute walk to the market. We had a good time browsing the market and some of us took a lot of pictures. We left the market after we had eaten our lunch. We got back to school in time for Period D.

Period D: We did our classroom jobs. We filled in the daily report. We had our daily Mindfulness Mediation sitting.

Weather for Today: Overcast and Cool…

Period A: We washed our hands and faces. We practiced our sales presentation. We then went to different classes to sell our cards.

Period B: We began with our Mindfulness Minutes. We prepped for our lunch. Emily and Scottie cut up the garnish for the salad. Mark and Fahim set the table. Keyur washed the lettuce for the salad. Myron prepared the chicken for baking. Shakur and Rebeca peeled the potatoes. We got everything done early so we had time to do our current event activity.

Period C: We finished delivering the Bluffs Monitor newspaper in the local neighbourhood. When we got back to class we had our dessert of Fruit Cocktail and Ice Cream. We then presented our current events worksheets to the class.

Period D: We did our classroom jobs. We filled in the daily report. We had our daily Mindfulness Mediation sitting.

Note to Parents: Field trip to Distillery District Christmas Market tomorrow. Make sure students dress appropriately.

Daily Report for Wednesday December 9th 2015

Weather for Today: Sunny and Cool…

Period A: Ms. Lupo was away today. We had Mr. Mariani as our occasional teacher. We washed our hands and faces. We then went around the school delivering candy grams. We delivered around 10 candy grams.

Period B: We went to Food Basics to buy the groceries for tomorrow’s lunch. We bought chicken legs and the ingredient’s for salad.

Period C: We went out into the community to deliver the Bluffs Monitor newspaper. When we got back to class we practiced our Christmas Carol that we will be performing at the Holiday Assembly.

Period D: We did our classroom jobs. We filled in the daily report. We had our daily Mindfulness Mediation sitting.

Note to Parents: Lunch program tomorrow. Send no lunch.

Daily Report for Tuesday December 8th 2015

Weather for Today: Overcast and cold….

Period A: We washed our hands and faces. We all made lists of the people we are going to be giving Christmas cards to. We then began to make the cards.

Period B: We began with our Mindfulness Minutes. We had our weekly drama activity. Today we played three games of musical chairs. Nerissa won the first game, Keyur won the second and Scottie won the final game.

Period C: Nerissa, Rebeca and Emily went to their co-op placement at Value Village. The rest of the class went to the gym to practice for next week’s Bocce Ball tournament.

Period D: We did our classroom jobs. We filled in the daily report. We had our daily Mindfulness Mediation sitting.

Period A: We washed our hands and faces. We watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, a classic Christmas Movie. We practiced our sales presentation.

Period B: We prepped for our lunch. Scottie and Nerissa set the table. Rebeca and Keyur grated carrots for the coleslaw. Myron cut up some green onions. Fahim made the limeaide. Emily and Mark washed the dishes.

Period C: We finished making our Ceramic Angel Candleholders. We celebrated Nerissa and Shakur’s birthday by having Chocolate Cake and Ice Cream.

Period D: We did our classroom jobs. We filled in the daily report. We had our daily Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Period A: We washed our hands and faces. We made some more cards for our fund raising activity. We watched a Christmas movie.

Period B: We did our Current Events Activity. We decorated the Christmas Tree in the classroom.

Period C: We had a Yoga session led by Ms. Merlin.

Period D: We did our classroom jobs. We filled in the daily report. We had our daily Mindfulness Mediation sitting.

Period A: We washed our faces and hands. We practiced our sales presentation. We then visited three classrooms and the guidance office to do our sales pitch. We sold almost $60.00 worth of cards !

Period B: We began with our Mindfulness Minutes. We wrote in our weekend journals. Mark and Myron set the table for the Maplewood Mindfulness Community lunch.

Period C: Rebeca and Emily went to their co-op placement at Value Village. The rest of the class walked to No Frills to buy groceries for Thursday’s lunch.

Period D: We did our classroom jobs. We filled in the daily report. We had our daily Mindfulness Mediation sitting.
