Weather for Today: Beautiful! Sunny and Warmish...

Period A: We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We had Circle Time. We did our Calendar activity. We continued to make Christmas decorations for Ms Shaw’s classroom. 

Period B: We went to the Community Kitchen to help Mr Wilkens with a catering project. We helped to make Vegetarian Lasagne, Cole Slaw and Jerk Chicken. 

Period C: We went back to the kitchen to finish up our prep work and clean up. 

Period D: We filled in the Daily Report. We completed our Classroom Jobs. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Period A: We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We had Circle Time. We worked some more on decorations for Ms. Shaw’s classroom. 

Period B: We used the IWB to do some Cardio exercises. Here is a video of us exercising….

Period C: We worked on our Drama skit. Then we practised with our Recorders. 

Period D: We went for a Community Walk. We filled in the Daily Report. We completed our Classroom Jobs. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Period A: We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We had Circle Time. We did a Calendar activity. We coloured some Christmas ornament colouring sheets. 

Period B: We had a Fire Drill. The alarm was really loud, but it only lasted a short time. We looked at the new Literacy program that we will be using here at school and at home. The program is called  Lexia Core 5. Then we did some math using IXL on the IWB.

Period C: We went to the library to take back our library books and to sign out new ones.

Period D: We went for a Community Walk. We filled in the Daily Report. We completed our Classroom Jobs. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Period A: We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We had Circle Time. We then worked on our Remembrance Day poppies. 

Period B: WE used the IWB to do some Yoga exercises. Here is a video of us doing Yoga...

 

Period C: We had an extended lunch as we had received a Pizza lunch as a reward for our Pumpkin Carving. We did a body scan mindfulness exercise.

Period D: We went for a Community Walk. We filled in the Daily Report. We completed our Classroom Jobs. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Weather for Today: Cool and Partly Cloudy

Period A: We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We had Circle Time. We did our Calendar activity. We continued work on our Remembrance Day Poppies. 

Period B: We went to the Community Kitchen to prepare our Diwali Feast. We had Chicken Biryani with Raita Salad.

Period C: Isaac went to do his in-school co-op work. With Ms Cameron’s help, he cleaned the doorknobs around the school. The rest of us went back to the Community Kitchen to clean up. After we finished cleaning we came back to our classroom and had a Diwali dessert of Gulab Jamun.  

Period D: We went for a Community Walk. We filled in the Daily Report. We completed our Classroom Jobs. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Period A: We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We had Circle Time. We did our Calendar activity. We helped Ms. Shaw take down the Halloween decorations. 

Period B: We did some P.E. activities by using Go Noodle on the IWB.

Period C: We had a drama activity where we worked on our Parachute skit’ Mr. Tipoff’s class joined us and Elijah did a great job in the role of the customer. 

Period D: We went for a Community Walk. We filled in the Daily Report. We completed our Classroom Jobs. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Period A: Ms. Shaw was away today and we had Ms. Dulles as our Occasional Teacher. We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We did our Calendar activity. Then we continued with our Poppy making project.

Period C: We went to the library and signed out some books. We then went back to our classroom for a Surprise Birthday party for Mr. Mak,

Period A: We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We had Circle time where we spoke about what he had done yesterday evening. We did an art activity where we made poppies for Remembrance Day.

Period B: We went to the Community Kitchen to prepare our lunch. Today we made Submarine Sandwiches with Potato Salad.

Period C: We went back to the kitchen to clean up. We also watched Mr Wilkens do a demo of making some yeast doughnuts.

 Period D: We went for a Community Walk. We filled in the Daily Report. We completed our Classroom Jobs. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Period B: We went to the greenhouse to plant the last of our flower bulbs. We then went to Community Kitchen where we made some Sub Buns for tomorrows Lunch Program lunch.

Period C: We used IWB to do some matching activities about Canada’s Food Guide’

Period A: We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We had Circle Time. We did a cut and paste art activity.

Period B: We did an exercise activity using the Go Noodle website. Since we did so well with the exercising, we went to the Community Kitchen and made some Blueberry Banana Smoothies.

Period C: We worked on our Pumpkin carving for Friday's contest. We had some Apple Pie and Ice Cream.

Period D: We filled in the Daily Report. We completed our Classroom Jobs. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Weather for Today: Partly Cloudy and Coldish…

Period A: We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We had Circle Time. We filled in our Calendar worksheets, then we looked through some Yearbooks from the past.

Period B: We did some Tai Chi with Ms. McDonald, Maverick’s mother. When we had done our Tai Chi, we had some free time.

Period C: We got a Coffin from Mr. Wilkens car and set up a Halloween display in the foyer. We then got to eat the Apple Pie we made yesterday.

Period D: We went outside to see a lot of teachers get a pie thrown in their faces.

Period A: Ms Shaw was away today. We had Mr Sullivan as our Occasional Teacher. We began with our Mindfulness Minutes. We had Circle Time where we talked about what we had done yesterday evening. Then we did some Halloween colouring pages.

Period B: Today we had our Lunch Program. We had Sheppard’s Pie and Green Salad. Everyone helped out with the food prep and cleaning.

Period C: We cleaned up the kitchen and made Apple Crumb Pie, which we will have tomorrow.

Period D: We filled in the Daily Report. We completed our Classroom Jobs. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Period A:  We had our Morning Mindfulness Minutes.

In Ms Shaw’s class, we had a discussion about what we did last evening. We did the morning calendar and filled in our calendar sheets. We did Halloween arts and crafts.

Period B:    We learned about the new “Free Time” protocol. Then we went on GoNoodle, a website that has a lot of different, fun activities. We learned a Halloween dance.

Period C:    The class did a drama activity. They practised and began to memorize the script.

                   

Period D: We went for a Community Walk where we delivered some community newspapers, Bluffers Monitor. We filled in the Daily Report. We completed our Classroom Jobs. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Period A: We had our Morning Mindfulness Minutes. Ms. Shaw brought us down to the CPC-ML to work on our Orange Shirt Day Tie Dye T Shirts.

Period B: We continued to work on our T Shirts. When we had finished the shirts, in record time, we came back to our classroom and did some chair exercises that Mr. Persaud had posted to the Web. We played a Math Bingo game on the IWB. 

Period C: We did some Money Math on the IWB.

Period D: We went for a Community Walk. We filled in the Daily Report. Classroom Jobs. We did our We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.
