Daily Report for Friday June 14th. 2019

Weather for Today: Sunny and Warm…

High:  18°C                   LOW : 9 °C                   P.O.P. : 10%

Today we went on the last field trip of the year. We went to The Clubhouse Event Space for the SPEEL ( Special Education Experiential Learning) Year End Celebration.

We took a Big Stock school bus from school at  9:20 and went to West Hill C.I. where we picked up three students and an E.A. to bring to the celebration.

We took the 401 westbound to the 427 northbound. We got off the 427 at Galaxy Blvd. and proceeded to the Event Place.

We had a delicious lunch of Pizza…

Then we had great fun dancing up a storm…

At 1:00 we all got on the bus to go back to school, except for Fahim, who went home with his parents.

Daily Report for Wednesday, June 12th 2019

Weather for Today: Sunny and Warm…

Period A : We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We went to the CPC-ML to make our lunch. Rebeca and Fahim grated the Mozzarella Cheese. Fahim also grated the Parmesan Cheese. Amena prepped the Romaine lettuce for the Caesar Salad. Nerushan and Mark set the table. Daidrean prepped the onions. Frankie prepped the “shrooms. Vivian prepped the tomatoes. We all had a chance to roll out the Pizza dough.

Period B : We continued with our lunch prep.

Period C: Once again we worked on our Black Light Show props.

Period D: We went for a Community Constitutional. We filled in the Daily Report. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Daily Report for Tuesday June 11th 2019

Weather for Today: Sunny and warm…

Period A : Amena went to her Co-op placement at Giant Tiger.Mr. Wilkens was away for the day so we had Ms. Myers- Taylor as our Occasional Teacher. We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We did our Weekend Journal Then we went to the Computer Room to email our weekend journal to Mr. Wilkens.

Period B : We did money math on the IWB. At 11:15 Rebeca Vivian and Frances went to S-7 to set up the table for meditation lunch.

Period C: We went to Mr. Stolte’s class and worked on our props for the Black Light Show Year End Assembly.

Period D: We practiced our song Amazing Grace with Ms. Kim We went for a Community Walk around the school. We filled in the Daily Report. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Daily Report for Monday June 10th 2019

Weather for Today: Rainy and Warm…

Period A : We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We practiced our song for the Year End Assembly. We went to the CPC-ML to make some Pizza dough for Wednesdays  lunch.  

Period B : We went out in the rain to finish delivering the Bluffs Monitor Community Newspaper. Amena and Frankie were in charge of the delivery teams and they did a fantastic job!

Period C: We continued to work on the props for our Year End Assembly Black Light Show.

Period D: We went for a Community Constitutional. We filled in the Daily Report. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.

Daily Report for Friday June 7th 2019

Weather for Today: Sunny and Hot….

Period A : We went to the CPC-ML where we had our Mindfulness Minutes. We then prepped our picnic lunch of Submarine Sandwiches’ with Cole Slaw. Amena, Rebeca and Vivian prepped the buns. Fahim washed and spun dried the lettuce. Brandon and Matthew peeled and grated the carrots as we as doing an amazing job of clean up. Daidrean and Vivian prepped the scallions.

Period B : We continued with the lunch prep.

Period C:We went to a Heritage Week Carnival in the gym. We then returned to the Art Room and continued to work on the props for our Black Light Show.

Period D: We went on a Community Walk. We filled in the Daily Report. We practiced our Amazing Grace performance.

Daily Report for Tuesday June 4th 2019

Weather for Today: Overcast, Light Rain and Warmish…

High:  17°C                   LOW :  9°C                   P.O.P. : 100%

Period A : We had our Mindfulness minutes. We spoke a little about safety protocols while out in the community. We then went to the CPC-ML to participate in a Heritage Month Activity. It was lead by Ms. Sheba, an Educational Assistant from Ms. Kahja s class. We learned how to make Dhosa, a Sri Lankan pancake with a vegetarian filling.

 They were delicious !

Period B : We used the IMB to look for a suitable version of the song Amazing Grace that we can perform in the year end Assembly.

Period C: We continued to work on our Black Light Show props. At the end of the period we went to the Cafeteria for another Heritage Week activity, the World Market. We got a chance to sample foods from many different nationalities and cultures.

Period D: We went for a Community Walk. We filled in the Daily Report. We had a short Mindfulness Sitting.

Weather for Today: Sunny and Coolish…

Period A : We had our Mindfulness Minutes. We went out for our delivering community newspaper.

Period B : We went to the computer room to write our weekend journal and we then e-mailed it to Mr. Wilkens.

Period C: We are working on the classroom props for our Year End Assembly.   

Period D: We went on a Community Walk. We filled in the Daily Report. We had a Mindfulness Meditation sitting.
